Sindhi Fonts Free Download. Sindhi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Iran. Those who know this language are called the Sindhis. The word 'Sindhu' is also used for the Indus River that flows through these countries before being joined by tributaries to form the Persian Gulf. The Sindhi font family has been developed by DVS Type Foundry, which guarantees stability and legibility of the fonts on both PCs and web environments with digital screens. The first letters of each word are written in vertical columns with a single line connecting words across the top of each page to ensure reading fluency. The Sindhi font family uses the Nastaliq calligraphic style of writing to produce high-quality typography for the Sindhi language. The Sindhi font family is composed of three basic fonts, each with six supporting fonts to cover all characters needed in contemporary publications. The three basic fonts are DVS Sindhi, DVS Sindhi Nastaliq and DVS Sindhi School. The DVS Sindhi font is designed to support the needs of medium-sized print runs. The style of writing used is Nastaliq, called Sindhi Naskh after its calligrapher, Muhammad Abdul Latif Sindhi. It has not been designed to support small-scale publication needs. The design style used for this font is the simple yet elegant styles of Nastaliq calligraphy. To produce this typeface, the designer has taken inspiration from the many calligraphic styles that were used in South Asia during different eras and brought it together into a single typeface with subtle changes to produce a unique aesthetic that retains its calligraphy roots. The Sindhi Naskh font has six supporting fonts to support the basic font. These are DVS Sindhi Nastaliq Chahat, DVS Sindhi Nastaliq Haafiz, DVS Sindhi School Chahat, DVS Sindhi School Haafiz, DVS Sindhi Pustakalu Chahat and DVS Sindhi Pustakalu Haafiz.
